carriers require this page
This page documents how kloob collects consent before sending any SMS messages. It is maintained for compliance with US carrier requirements and the CTIA messaging guidelines.
01
who receives SMS from kloob
kloob only sends SMS messages to two groups of people — both of whom have explicitly opted in before receiving any message:
- account holders — users who created a kloob account at kloob.app and provided their phone number during onboarding, accepting the terms of service which include SMS consent
- invited team members — individuals whose phone number was entered by a workspace organizer (the queen bee). The team member receives an opt-in SMS asking them to reply YES to consent or NO to decline. Only those who reply YES receive further workspace messages
kloob does not send unsolicited messages. No phone number is messaged without a prior opt-in action.
kloob never sells, rents, or shares your phone number with third parties for their own marketing. Numbers are used solely to deliver the operational messages described below.
02
the opt-in moment — account creation
When a user creates an account at kloob.app, they are asked for their phone number during onboarding. Before they can proceed, they must check a consent box explicitly agreeing to receive SMS notifications. The form looks like this:
The continue button is only active after the consent checkbox is checked. The consent text is always visible — it is never hidden behind a collapsed section or fine print.
03
the opt-in moment — team invites
A team member is never messaged on someone else's say-so alone. When a workspace organizer (queen bee) adds a team member by phone number, that person provides their own consent by replying YES to an opt-in text before kloob sends them anything further. The organizer first sees this form:
Once the organizer submits, the invited team member receives a single opt-in SMS. They must reply YES to consent before any workspace messages are sent. Replying NO, or not replying at all, results in no further contact.
